Located just across the Cuyahoga River from Downtown Cleveland is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, Ohio City. Originally founded in 1818 as part of Brooklyn Township, Ohio City was incorporated on March 3rd 1836, two days before Cleveland. It remained an independant municipality untill 1854 when it was annexed to Cleveland. Whatever your taste, from beautifully restored historic homes, to contemporary condos and townhomes and some of the area's hottest restaurant and bars, Ohio City has something for you.
